DOT Common Sense Fastener Parts, a specialized marine-grade fastener designed for superior holding power in demanding environments. Manufactured by Dot Fasteners, this silver-toned hardware features a unique spring mechanism that ensures a secure and reliable connection. It is engineered to accommodate fabric thicknesses of up to five layers of canvas, making it an ideal choice for marine, upholstery, and automotive seating applications.
Installation is streamlined using the recommended part 3113 punch, which cleanly places two correctly spaced slots for inserting the fastener tabs. These tabs are then bent over the washer (part number 4054) to complete the fastening process. For optimal performance and safety, these fasteners are designed to be used exclusively with other Dot Common Sense components and should not be mixed with other brands.
